A person reads every message and normally replies within two working days. We are a small company in England, so replies land in UK office hours.
If you are reporting a bug, these three things save a round trip: which iPhone or iPad you are on, the version number shown at the bottom of the game's home screen, and what you tapped just before it went wrong. A screenshot is better than all of them.
Questions worth answering in advance
I paid, and a new phone says I have not
Open Compelled and tap a level you do not have yet: the card that comes up has a Restore button on it. Apple then checks the account signed in on the device and gives the unlock back. It has to be the same Apple Account that made the purchase, because a purchase cannot be moved between accounts, and we cannot look yours up for you: we never see who bought anything. If the restore genuinely will not take, Apple can help at reportaproblem.apple.com.
What are the levels?
Levels differ in one thing only: how many digits the grid gives you at the start. Every level allows exactly the same reasoning, so a harder level is not a different game with extra tricks, it is a barer grid with fewer places to begin. If a level feels impossible, it is usually worth dropping down one and coming back.
Why did the run end when I was right?
The game asks for one thing: if a cell is forced right now, tap it now. A cell can hold the correct value and still not be provable yet from what is on the grid, and tapping it then ends the run even though the digit was right. That is the game, rather than a bug: on an incorrect tap the cell's remaining possibilities are shown in red so you can see what you had not yet ruled out.
Does it work offline?
Yes, completely. Compelled has no network features at all, so aeroplane mode changes nothing. The one exception is buying or restoring the unlock, which goes through Apple and needs a connection for those few seconds. See privacy.
Will my progress survive a new phone?
Your best times are stored on the device. They come across if you restore the new device from an iCloud or Mac backup, and they do not if you set the phone up as new. Your purchase is separate and always restorable, as above.
